It was great! I'm 32 and I haven't been to an event like this in years because I have two children under 10yrs old and I would usually avoid a place like this bc of my autistic son but it was very nice. We were there for the Taylor Swift day party. We paid $17 per person ahead of time. When we arrived, there wasn't a line, and we got right in. It was an event that catered more towards kids, so security was really nice, like he could tell my son is autistic before I told him. At one point they allow some kids on stage to dance and my son kept trying to go behind the DJ which was a safety issue bc of the wires on the ground and the girl on stage seemed to have a hard time getting my son to listen, I was beside the stage trying to help without jumping up there, luckily security helped my son down and even gave him some ear plugs. Overall, it was amazing, staff was all very nice, too! Even as someone with social anxiety, the whole experience was cool, and there was nothing but good vibes all around!
Whoa. 1000/10 for staff and security! I had a couple things happen and the whole venue stepped up to assist me, even the performer's personal staff. There were lots of kids (shows state all ages or 18+), only 1 fight (that no one saw, but Odetari saw it and stopped the show!) amazing! I’m a seat kind of person, but this venue was spot on. I don’t like general admission, especially with teenagers, but this venue, ANY DAY. They have a water station set up, everyone seemed to know where to go! This venue gets mad props from me. We saw Odetari and even their personal staff was spot on, really caring about the kids/venue/etc. I loved it. 10/10 would recommend. We only spent more per person because of tshirts for the kids. The show was $20 and for 4 tickets, it was only $25 service charge. Totally worth it!!!!
I can't speak for the booze or food, but as far as a standing venue goes you couldn't ask for a more intimate space to spend time with an artist/performer. Aside from the one pillar that can block your view near the entrance there's really not a bad spot in the house. We saw Jake Wesley Rogers and just felt connected with him due to the safe space he created and the intimate size of the venue. Security was kind and you could easily get your hands on water to stay hydrated. 5 stars just because where else can you see a great show with a capacity like this in a pedestrian friendly area.
If I didn't give them 5 stars it would be based off of lack of AC. It's a basement and could use some moving air when your jam packed with people. An appropriate tempature keeps people from having extra medical/social anxiety. Also, the bar staff should know better than to dump ice when an artist is performing a quiet section of their set. This was disrespectful and an amateur mistake. Management should coach to this.
